OFFICIALLY BECOME THE SENIOREST aha!

KYAAAAAAA!!!!
the day when I came to ACS for the first time is still like yesterday.
I can't believe myself I've stayed here for 3 years ++ and the my 3rd batch of juniors are coming already. means, my batch become the most senior in the boarding school. don't know if i should be happy or not. oh well, i'm glad to see them :D

in total, i think there are 38 new indo scholars from various cities e.g medan, bandung, surabaya (:D), malang, jakarta, bogor and bali. well, they are indeed still innocent. bet my friends and i looked like them when we first came. but time DOES change everyone, doesn't it? :)

my hall got 6 new guys. overall, they are nice lah. but its a bit awkward to chat with them :/ perhaps when i see them again next year, it wont be as awkward as before (they surely need to adapt with the language, lingo/slank used. must!)

the exciting, most anticipated event finally came, ORIENTATION *clap clap*
i felt proud of my juniors for organising this event well and in such detailed manner.
never expected that they can surpass the seniors' expectation. well done.
the clues are unique in their own way, not that easy to solve :D the fright-night-so-called amazing race was quite fun unless we got loss in the dark, creepy school area. they sure know how to make ppl sweat at night huh.
my group got no one from my hall. so yeah, i can get to know more juniors. haha. well, to be honest, they are better that the ones in my hall. sad to say, but thats the truth lah. they more or less resemble my friends (aha!) we even got the first runner-title lol NOT BAD NOT BAD :)
oh yeah, from this orientation, i kinda know more 2nd batch of juniors. you know, i missed the orientation last year due to hectic o level exam schedule. thanks god now i now some of them (still some only, but better than nothing right?

well, there are lots of stories but they are just too awesome to be explained in words. we've undergone all kind of hardships together since 3 years ago. wonder what we can't do together now. haha. let treasure all the memories that we've had so far and continue stay together like this.

ps: thanks for my batch who came down for orientation. we had fun - eko, clifford, calvin, steven, justin, anthony, sunson, happy, nico, toffler, james and the rest that somehow i forgot (not purposely forgetting you guys)

3rd Anniversary Indo Scholars' Batch AND OG10 (Reunion :p) Dinner

5/11/2010 was a freaking AWESOME Day :)
I think the saying TGIF its true anyway
woohoo!!

3rd Anniversary - Indo scholars' Batch

we went to Vivo first for lunch first.
Having KFC was never be a wrong choice. worth of the money lol
Going to Sentosa, literally damn crowded. packed like sardine.
Knowing today was Deepavali, i saw domineering number of Indians everywhere :)
i was joyful to the max to see my friends, who are now scattered in SAJC, IJC and SIM :D
Such a great reunion hahaha~

We decided to go to siloso beach (idk why though :p)
Did a lot of stuff like playing frisbee, football and american football :D
really enjoyed the games.
the weather was not bad - not so hot, but no sign of raining as well.
After the games, we decided to go to the sea, SWIMMING TIME.
yeah, kinda rocks!
i got lifted and thrown to the sea. totally SOAKED arrghh~
(i had no idea how they did that. they sure have built their muscle well :p)
camwhoring session was the highlight!!

its such a joyful feeling to have a reunion after final year exam and for IB peeps, after school literally ends for this year. We can (re)bond again with our friends, who had undergone hardships and made tough decision to come to Singapore. 3 years are not a short time period, I'd say. However, all the works, assignments, exams, not forgetting the happy chat time, hanging out and jamming sessions have made these 3 years fly so fast.

I would like to use this time to thank all my friends, who have been with me all these time, from 2007-2010. I would like to thank
  1. Ivan William who has been a great roommate over past few years. You are indeed a role-model student. Having you as roommate and schoolmate, I learn so many important skills from you e.g time management, how to organise stuff, being neat etc. We have undergone more and less same path, from o level track to IB through DSA and yeah, WE ROCK!!
  2. Heizel :D Thanks for being a super ultra duper awesome friend this year. Yeah as you know, we were not this close in secondary school. but, having you as OGmate and classmate, we are almost always together in school. You are indeed an exemplary student who does show me the work and mercy of God in our lives.
Thanks for being an helpful friend who readily help me when I face difficulty.
Thanks for being a cheerful, cool person. I think we have same frequency of lameness :)
Thanks for everything you have done~
  3. Glorious Matthew Oh man, I am speechless. No one can beat you in term of your maturity, wisdom (hm, yeah) especially when it comes to friendship. You have been a great classmate, hallmate, buddy for past few years. Your jokes never fail to amuse me, your advices always help me to improve. METEWWWWWWWWWWW~
  4. the rest of you :p Sorry guys, its not like I dont want to thank you one by one (but its just too many of you :/) You all have impacted my life in different ways. We had fun and hard times together. Thanks from those experiences, I can learn many useful and precious things in my life :)

OG 10 (Reunion) Dinner

it's supposed to be a farewell dinner for one of our og-mate, Sai.
we managed to gather, like almost ten people, to go have dinner together.
the weird thing, Sai didnt come.
oh well, although the farewell party fail, og dinner must go on. yeah!
Attendance: 8/27
Kenta, Heizel, Lim Heng, Alex Lee, Clement, Matthew, De Zhong and ME :D
Having mouth-watering dinner at Aston Specialties. the food was DELICIOUS!!
then we went starbucks, bought drinks, chatted, updated ourselves with the latest news and rumours in our school. Having yummy Frolick yogurt with De Zhong, yay!! It's quite rare for 8 guys to talk non-stop for one hour plus. the topics discussed include couples in school, grades and school staffs (refer: teacher lol) HAHAHA kinda fun to have this kind of conversation~
Going back with Heizel and Kenta, continue talking non-stop along the way back. Oh man, I can't believe that Kenta got so many things to say after not chatting with him for err 6 months? lol WTP, its seriously fun to chat with friends. Although this (mini) OG outing was considerably short, I REALLT DID enjoy spending my time with them. I hope this won't be our last OG outing or whatsoever. OG 10 Aphrodite ROCKS TO THE MAX~

PS: my body still ache. even worse. haha. but the overwhelming fun and excitement kinda nullified it. time to rest. and yeah, need to catch up with my k-drama. die die must watch lor. hmm, the y6 looks quite ok with the math paper. oh well, their last 3 math papers for most of them. envy them. later after lunch got SUNDAY treat in swensens *faint*

Last Day of School 2010 and November Feast :)

i really can't contain my excitement knowing today is the last day of school for Year 5 ACS(I) IB students. HAHAHAHAHAHA~

I am (I think) officially promoted since first, I met promotion criteria and second, I finished the requirements for both EE and TOK. woohoo~ However, I felt a bit sad as it means that today is my last day as year 5 student.

Year 5 IB has been a very wonderful academic year. It's a totally new experience for me. It is far more demanding, tough, challenging, hard, whatever it is, compared to secondary 4. O level is NOTHING (yeah, it's true.) It is quite true that there isn't really weekend for us for we need to do our work even during break.

However, from this year, I knew more about friendship, about the true nature of humankind. Beside doing in depth learning, I learn more about responsibility and time management. Truly, what you learn in IB here is invaluable.

This year's last PC lesson was sort of class party where our dearest CT/PCTs treated us pizza and other snacks and drinks. Glad that we managed to give a token of appreciation - farewell cards that we made just in the morning lol. I am a bit sad that most probably Mr. Pat soo and Lao shi Tang Jie cannot follow us to year 6 but OF COURSE, i will always remember them :)

Next, move on to November Feast :D
Tho it was not as great, I was satisfied in the sense that we, the year5 students, can relax after working hard in 2010. We played water bomb war, proven effective to release our stress.
The social night was ranked more awesome as beside the decent food, the performances were not bad, especially Kenneth and Hao Kai's band. woohoo!!

to conclude, as we ended 2010 academic curriculum,
We chatted
We sang
We played
We laughed
.. together

Adios year 5 2010, I will always miss this precious time. See you in year 6 next year.
(For people who still have focus camp, hwaiting! you can do it, kay)

PS: oh man, my whole body ache :O

Comeback

After 4 month hiatus, finally I decide to write blog again.
Hmm, a lot of things has happened for these 4 months.
Final Year Exam just ended and I has finished my TOK draft woohoo!! :)
EE Draft is a work-in-progress and just needs 200 more words to satisfy requirement.

Since I am like in a rush to do my work, I'll be just updating you the songs that I like at the moment :D
  1. Breathe by BEAST
"Breathe in Breathe out" :) I know it's a bit outdated but I just realised the song and the dance are bit catchy to certain extent. Can't stop listening HAHA
  2. HOOT by SNSD
This one confirmed addictive. Being the latest single in the year (I think), SNSD never fails to bring a fresh concept to Asian music market. The cute yet sexy concept is clearly depicted in the MV where Sooyoung, Jessica, Yuri and Tiffany got most of the screenshots :O oh well, it's really a Trouble Trouble Trouble~
  3. 삐리뽐 빼리뽐 (Bbiribbom Bbaeribbom) by Co-ed
I know it's kinda weird but somehow this song has repetitive lyrics and so, CATCHY!! one of the members looks like Goo Hara lol
  4. banji (Ring) - SNSD Tiffany
This is the best OST ever. Being the OST for Haru, this songs revolves about love and relationship. Sweet voice of Fany serves you right :)
  5. 내 심장을 뛰게 하는 말 by Co-ed
Another ballad song brought by rookie mixed group Co-ed. Nice for emo-ing time :D
  6. You wouldn't answer my call by 2AM
THIS IS THE MOST BESTEST BALLAD SONG EVER. 2AM finally came back with their very first album. This song is believed to be their secret weapon to reign in all the music-chart in this winter season. They sang so well even I can cry listening to JoKwon's voice. What angelic voices you all have dudes :) The MV is awesome as the storyline is somehow creative and touching. Good job 2AM!!

30 July Weather Forecast: RAINY no STORM!!

Friday, 30 July 2010

It was 545am in the morning. Ms Lim came in to wake us up. Yeah, I was still tired because of accumulated fatigue from choir rehearsal. When I woke up, I was shocked as I could hardly speak. My throat is so painful that I almost could not make slightest noise.

This was not important actually. Here is the main thing. Annual Cross Country in West Coast was scheduled today. I went there around 7am with all my hall-mates by bus. After arriving at West Coast, we could see a bunch of dark clouds hanging there in the sky. At first, we did not really care about it. However, as time passed by, the clouds moved towards West Coast and stopped above us.

And TATA!! *sound effect* it started to rain. Drizzle turned to heavy downpour. The wind was very strong. All students and teachers tried to find concrete ground and good shelter. Apparently, tents provided by the school were not enough. The water started to invade us, making West Coast grand lawn flooded almost like Orchard Road one lol. I got drenched quite badly while making my way to West Coast McDonald. In there, it was damn crowded. Everyone started pushing each other. I did not what to do, my mind was like blank. I want to 'thank' my friends for ditching me in West Coast. If i did not meet Alvin, surely I would still be in West Coast, clueless. Alvin and I went back together, without umbrellas or cover or anything. Our shoes soaked damn badly, we both might catch cold, we got headache and sure, we lost our voice. Good, FOA was just about less than 50 hours.

Hence, it is justified to say that today's Annual Cross Country event was the most epic failed ever.

aiyah,

it's just another Monday. All laziness just accumulated from weekend. This term should be another busy term. English A1 IOP, Festival of Arts, EE Proposal thingy and TOK stuff. Not forgetting all the IAs and homeworks which will come SOON!! I am still a little bit sad because of my result. My mum still sms me, keep reminding me not to repeat my mistakes. All can I do to improve my result now is just learning my mistakes by heart and let Him lead me all the way until final exam.

There can be miracle, when you believe . . .
Of course, when you believe in HIM!!
